MEET LIZBETH

Educator. Parent. Community Advocate.

Lizbeth Renova has deep roots in the Montebello Unified School District community.

She attended Winter Garden Elementary, Montebello Intermediate, and graduated from Montebello High School. Today, she is an experienced educator, administrator, and mother of three MUSD students who understands firsthand how the decisions made by our schools impact students and families.

For almost 20 years, Lizbeth has dedicated her career to education, serving as an educator, site supervisor, and early childhood education director.

She earned three associate degrees from East Los Angeles College and a bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Child Development and Family Studies from California State University, Long Beach. She also holds a California Director's Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

Why I'm Running

Lizbeth is running for Montebello Unified School District Board, District 2, because she believes every student deserves access to a quality education and the opportunity to succeed.

As both an educator and a parent, she understands the importance of safe schools, strong academic programs, supported teachers and staff, and responsible leadership.

Her goal is to help build a district where students feel safe, supported, and valued — and where families know their voices matter.

A Voice for District 2

Lizbeth believes successful schools are built through collaboration between educators, staff, administrators, parents, families, and the community.

As a School Board member, she is committed to listening, asking questions, doing the work, and making decisions with one goal in mind:
